2018 MacBook Pro 13 Passes Brazil’s ANATEL And NCC Certification Sites In Taiwan

As we get closer to the launch of Apples Next-gen iPhones – what will happen in September – we receive more and more reports on the triplet of smartphones that the giant Cupertino should remove. But it seems that the brand could also present the long-awaited successor of the MacBook Air 13 at the event. A recent report from Digitimes He suggested that it would be the company’s most affordable mobile phone with a starting price of $1,200.

Now phones spotted the so-called MacBook Pro 13 of 2021 on two certification sites – the Brazilian ANATEL (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicações) and Taiwan’s NCC (National Communications Commission), which suggests that the machine will soon be launched.

The next Apple MacBook Pro 13 of 2021 carries the model number A1989. The ANATEL certification mentions the frequency support of the device, with frequencies going from 2.4 GHz to 5.7 GHz, an indication of the support of the Wi-Fi bi-band. Unfortunately, there is no other detail in the certification.

The NCC certification provides no further details either, except to confirm the model number. We can also see that A1990 is the model number for the MacBook Pro 15 of 2021, which went official last month only.

Considering that the laptop has been certified by two agencies, we can expect the MacBook Pro 13 of 2021 to be launched in September. Regarding the specifications, the previous report suggested that the device will be powered by the Intel Kaby Lake processor, which is based on the 14nm manufacturing process. The report also mentions that the next machine will have a shipment volume of about eight million units for this year.
