Realme Announces Its Android 10 Update Roadmap

Realme organized a launch event on September 13th. The company has announced the Realme XT, a Realme Power 10,000 mAh bank and the Realme Buds Wireless headphones. In addition to product launches, Realme also revealed the Android 10 update roadmap for Realme phones. Eight phones have been added to the list. However, none of the phones will be updated to the latest version of Android this year.

Realme announced the update of eight phones on Android 10. During the first quarter, the company plans to market Android 10 for Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and Realme XT during the first quarter of 2020. Will be followed Realme 3, Realme 5, and Realme 3i in the next quarter.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme U1 and Realme C devices do not have Android 10 at all. This is rather disappointing because most of these phones were launched just a year ago ( or in April, in the case of Realme C2). It is unclear whether Realme will take the Xiaomi route and update the Android skin on these phones. Xiaomi tends to do this with its old budget-limited devices, leaving them on the same Android version, but updating MIUI. It is also possible that the brand ignores the Android 10 on these phones in favor of the next version of Android, but we would bet our money on them by merely updating the skin.

About the main features of Android 10, one of the significant upcoming changes for Android this year is a dark system-wide theme. With the dark theme, Google will offer a pure black appearance throughout the system and not a dark gray theme. The next Android 10 OS will also provide enhanced smart response functionality. It will also improve the gesture navigation introduced with Android Pie last year.
