Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S7 might get a Plus-size version to compete with iPad Pro

We expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 to be unveiled at the end of 2021 and although this expectation is mainly due to precedents, there have been leaks and we have now heard that there may also be a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. This news comes from MySmartPrice who has found a Bluetooth certification list with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. This is a tablet we hadn’t heard anything about until now.

There are no additional specifications or details on the list (except for the fact that it will have Bluetooth, but in 2021 that’s to be expected), but the mere presence of the tablet can tell us a thing or two about the non Plus device.

Samsung has positioned the Galaxy Tab S line as iPad Pro rivals, so we would expect the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus to be the most concise attempt to disrupt Apple in the slate market. We have heard that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will come in 12.4-inch and 11-inch versions, and it is possible that the largest of those sizes will be sold as the Tab S7 Plus, while the smaller ones will be the ‘standard’ Tab S7.

It is not clear if there will be differences between the two tablets, but it is likely that the Tab S7 Plus will have some advantage over the other device. This could be a higher storage capacity or more RAM. We have heard that the Tab S7 will have 5G connectivity, but it is possible that this will also be limited to the Plus model.

This is all speculation because without any official confirmation or even without a leak in the details of the two tablets, we can not really know how different they will be. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is expected to be launched at the beginning of August, next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2, so maybe we will learn more then.
