Tech News: Vivo V19 launch date is March 10th; punch-hole display and quad rear cameras confirmed

“Vivo V19 specifications and features attached to the teasers include 48MP quad-rear camera setup, 32MP front camera in a perforation view, 3.5 mm audio connection, USB Type-C port and blue and pink color options “

The launch date of the Vivo V19 was confirmed by the company on 10 March. This launch date is for the Indonesian market, but there are rumors that the handset will lose coverage in India by March prior to the IPL 2020 season. According to the tweets from the official Vivo Indonesia account, the Vivo V19 will be launched in the country with 48MP quad cameras at the rear, a single hole for the 32MP selfie camera. The tweets also reveal the design of the smartphone. In addition, the VMP V19’s 48MP primary camera suggests that the Pro model is likely to get the 64MP sensor.

Vivo updated cover photo of his Twitter account in Indonesia and shared one handful of teasers from the upcoming smartphone. The images confirm that the Vivo V19 boasts an edge-to-edge display with perforator design in the upper right corner for a 32MP selfie camera. The back panel of the phone contains quad cameras consisting of a 48MP primary sensor in a rectangular module that we have also seen on Samsung and Huawei phones.

Vivo V19 specifications and functions

Beyond the teasers, the Vivo V19 has a gradient finish and comes in at least two colors: blue and pink. The handset packs a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the bottom. Other specifications of the phone remain vague at the moment, but rumors suggest that it would come with Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 730G chipset under the hood. The SoC is probably linked to a maximum of 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage on board.

The Vivo V19 handset is expected to run Android 10-based FunTouch OS directly out of the box. The phone’s 48MP quad reversing cameras can have an ultra-wide 8MP sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone is said to be powered by a 4500 mAh battery and supported by Vivo’s dual-engine fast-charging technology.

The handset will be the successor to last year’s Vivo V17 smartphone, which was priced at R.999 in India. We expect the Vivo V19 to come with a similar price tag. Moreover, the Vivo V19 Pro is expected to be launched soon. The handset will be a slightly improved version of the vanilla V19 and is tipped to pack a punch-hole display with dual selfie cameras. That is all we know so far.
