The new drone recovery system allows military units to recover the drone after the mission.
Manufactured at Target Arm, Talon is designed to sit behind a moving car and catch all sizes of drone. The prototype was announced Thursday on the industrial day at the Manoeuvering Excellence Center (MCoE) in Fort Benning, Georgia, according to the Army Times.
Talon can launch and recover drone at speed up to 60 mph.
Military officials would have been impressed with the prototype. MCoE deputy commander Don Sando told the army that it is simple but elegant to return the drone. An official of the military said that it is essential that the drone can move so as not to follow the enemy. Talon makes this possible.
