So, Vertepac's backpack is convincing. The Dutch startup is trying to solve the problem as old as mankind instead of making another boring bag.
And what do you know? They cracked. But innovation is not cheap.
Vertepac creates a bag around a carrying unit consisting of a lightweight frame and an expandable spine attached to the lumbar belt. The transport unit is designed in a modular fashion and can be quickly inserted into a Vertepac bag. When wearing, the backpack rests on the waist as an internal frame bag designed for camping. Vertepac says that 95% of the load is on the waist belt, the rest are on the shoulder and dominate the load. It seems good. The so-called parallel spine is a star, but while somewhat raising the bag from your back, it squeezes out, stretches and shrinks in harmony with your body movement …
