Google’s stock Android clock app is now out there within the Google Play store, providing a new avenue to update it on units that include it. The app is following within the footsteps of many other Google apps and providers that have made their way to the Play Store, & the app is totally free.
There does not appear to be anything new with the app simply yet. However remember Google did buy Timely not too long ago, which had some actually wonderful features like the ability to sync alarms across units. So far we have not seen any of Timely’s features built into the stock Clock app, however hopefully we will begin seeing a few of those soon since the Clock app is now within the Play Store.
According to the Play Store description
[quote_box_center]“Enjoy Google’s materials design clock experience in your Android device. Set alarms, add timers, & run a stopwatch. Add your favourite cities to the World Clock pane. Connect with Android Wear to dismiss or snooze or alarms from your watch.”[/quote_box_center]
As you might already know, which means those with devices that do not ship with this app can simply download it from the Play Store.

So now if you do not just like the clock app that the manufacturer made in your device, you may simply install Google’s Clock app from the Play Store, and use it on your device.
