Google Is Putting More Privacy Control In Search

Google is starting to show privacy controls on its search page instead of having users navigate the My Activities page.

Google is calling the new feature "your data" and has been trying to offer privacy information in various formats, such as video, graphics and text.

According to Miraglia, the idea is to help as many users as possible understand what data a service is collecting, why and what controls are available.

I think it's a good move from Google, but as Douglas Schmidt said in the:

"It never hurts people to remember that their online activities are being monitored, but I'm not sure it would reassure anyone about its use."
