Google wants its new version of Sound Search to name that tune in under 10 seconds

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have a Now Playing feature, which provides persistent music recognition services to the owners of these mobile phones. When building a system that requires a small "fingerprint" so that you can find the name of a song using technology, Google uses "deep neural network". Now Playing is designed to work with devices without internet connection. Now Playing, which was released on the 2nd generation Pixel terminal in 2017, was far superior to Google's server side sound search function. So, Google decided to strengthen the new sound search using technology similar to what we were playing now. Therefore, if you want to know the name of a song played nearby, if you do not own Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, please enable the Google Search app or Google Assistant. Check "What is this song?" Button. Or, "Can you say" a little Google, what is this song? " You can also place shortcuts on your mobile phone by going to the widget's page and moving the Google Sound widget to the open location on the Home screen (GIF at the bottom of this page). The technology used in Now Playing is designed to create small and distinctive fingerprints from a small part of the song and adapt it to tens of thousands of song databases. Often the database is updated to remove old songs and add new versions. Due to the nature of current reading, Google will do this because it requires a small database. On the other hand, if you search for the sound on the server side, you will find matches in a much larger database containing about 1,000 times more melodies than what you are currently playing. Sound search also uses a network of neurons that is 4 times larger than what is currently used for playback and outputs audio at 0.5 second intervals from the 1 second interval used in the Pixel model system. 2.

We believe that the sound search is improved and we can respond more quickly. This is what the Android music fans are looking forward to.
