It started with a camera. A few years ago, some Apple engineers came to believe that the iPhone camera might be smarter thanks to the neural network. They brought ideas to Apple's chip architecture vice president Tim Millet.

A11 is 4.3 billion, A12 has been greatly improved. The A12 neural engine is even more powerful and can perform 5 trillion operations per second for A11's 600 billion.

Millet refused to answer questions about the plan of the team, but the team points out that it is much higher than the A12 announced this week. "It will take about two years to make chips from start to finish," Millet says. Somewhere in the Apple ring-shaped glass sheet, hardware that will produce new features next year is immediately formed.
