Steps to install android M 6.0
Step 1. First of all download and install ADB and Fastboot tools on your computer here.
Step 2. Now download Android M preview for your Nexus 5/Nexus 6/Nexus 9 here.
Step 3. Now, enable USB Debugging on your device.
Step 4. Now you need to switch off your device and boot it into bootloader mode by pressing Power and Down Volume buttons together.
Step 5. Now you need to connect your Nexus to your computer with a USB cable, go to the ADB Tools folder and open cmd there and issue the command “Fastboot OEM unlock” to unlock the Bootloader.

Step 6. Once Bootloader is unlocked, go to the unzipped system img directory and double click the flash-all script. It will install the Android M on your device.
Step 7. That’s it! Once the installation finishes, your device will reboot into Android M. Enjoy!
