Check tutorial of How to Enable Flash Player on Chrome
So after a lot of requests from our users here is a guide about How to Enable Flash Player on Chrome.
You may have noticed that while Google Chrome has native support for the Flash Player plugin, it is now disabled by default in the browser. So if you want to use Flash on Chrome, you need to manually enable Flash Player from Chrome settings.
This one tutorial Will show you how to enable Flash Player in Chrome web browser.
Enabling Flash is a simple process, but because Flash has some potential security risks and other related issues, only advanced users should enable and use Flash if they know what they are doing. For example, sometimes a website needs Flash to function properly, or to load certain elements (Mint charts are a prominent example of this).
Keep this in mind feature will only be available in Chrome for about a year as Chrome will remove Flash from the browser and Adobe will also end Flash support.
How to Enable Flash on the Chrome browser
Enabling Flash in Chrome is the same in Chrome for Mac and Windows, or any other Chrome browser that supports Flash Player.
- Open the Chrome browser and go to the following URL:
- Find the setting for “Ask First” and flip the switch to ON
- This will enable Flash in Chrome until Chrome is closed and restarted
- You will see a list of sites where you can manually block or allow Flash, as listed below in these settings, which you can tweak to your liking
- Now visit a website where you want to use Flash in Chrome, if Flash is available to load, you can click in the URL bar to enable it on that website
- You can also visit the following URL in Chrome and replace the site name ‘www.CHANGE-THIS-URL-EXAMPLE.com’ as needed to directly customize the Flash capabilities:
chrome: // settings / content / flash
chrome: // settings / content / siteDetails? site = https% 3A% 2F% 2Fwww.CHANGE-THIS-URL-EXAMPLE.com
So that’s how you enable and use Flash in the latest Chrome web browsers on Mac or PC.
Keep in mind that Flash will be deprecated from Chrome and by Adobe at the end of the year, meaning later versions of the browser will not include native support for Flash at all. So if you want to use Chrome and Flash on the go, you must have an older copy of the browser installed for those purposes. However, Chrome keeps itself automatic up-to-date, but you can turn off Chrome’s automatic software update and Google Software Update if you want to keep an older copy, often it’s best to do that in conjunction with an installation of Chrome Canary so you can use the most recent version of Chrome available and each new version typically contains important security enhancements and fixes.
If you have a SWF file, you can play and view it on the Mac as shown here, which can be useful if the Flash file you want to play or the site you want to use it on is locally stored.
Obviously, this is specific to Google Chrome, and many other web browsers in modern macOS releases don’t support Adobe Flash Player at all. If you happen to be running an earlier version of Mac OS X and have the plugin installed, you can uninstall Flash Player from the Mac (which is probably recommended at this point as it will eventually become obsolete) and continue to use Flash in Chrome as described above.
