## Changing Internet Properties

TLS 1.0 and higher is a security protocol that allows you to establish encryption channels over a computer network.  Your OneDrive client may not work correctly if these protocols are disabled.

Press the Windows + R key combination to open Run.

Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK to open the Internet Properties window.

In the Internet Properties window, open the Advanced tab.

Under Settings, scroll down to find the following options and select the appropriate checkboxes: Use TLS 1.0,

Use TLS 1.1, Use TLS 1.2.

Click Apply and OK to save your changes.

## Resetting OneDrive Client Settings

Click Start and select Settings.

Click Applications.

Select Applications and Features.

Find OneDrive and select it.

Click Advanced Settings.

Scroll down to the OneDrive Advanced Settings window and tap Exit.

Scroll down again and press Restart.

Click Reset to confirm the action.

Close the Windows Settings window, restart OneDrive and see if anything has improved.

## Configuring Internet Proxy Settings

Proxy servers allow you to bypass some of your ISP's restrictions and some companies use them to securely connect to your network.

Press Windows + R to open Run.

Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK to open the Internet Properties window.

In the Internet Properties window, click the Connection tab.

Click Local Area Network Settings.

Under LAN Settings, uncheck Use a proxy server for your local network.

Then enable the Automatically detect settings option.

Click Apply and OK to save your changes.
