## How to Import Passwords From CSV in Chrome Browser - Guide

Did you just switch to Google Chrome?  In that case, one of the first things you'll want to do is import your active passwords into Chrome.  Google Chrome values ​​importing passwords from a saved password file or from other browsers installed on your computer.  Anyway, it's easy to import passwords into Chrome.  Here, we'll show you several different ways to get the job done.

The Google Chrome browser allows users to export saved passwords to a CSV file so users can return up web passwords saved in the browser.  As you probably know, Chrome also offers an option to import passwords from a CSV file.  However, the option is hidden and you need to enable the Password Import flag to see the option.

Open up the Chrome browser and type chrome: // flags / # password-import-export in the address bar.  Pressing the “Enter” key will take you to Chrome's flags page.

To export your password list, just click on the "Export" button button.  A window will appear asking you to enter your user account password.  After entering your password, a “Save” window will appear.

The browser would automatically save your password list as a simple “Text Csv” file.  From there, you can import all passwords into a password manager that supports “Csv” imports.

For those who want to import passwords, just click on the "Import" button button.  Unlike exporting passwords, Chrome will not ask for your user account password.  Just open the “Csv” file that contains your password and Chrome will do the rest.

One important thing to note about exporting passwords using this method is that Chrome will create a plain text password list.  Once you've finished importing passwords into a password manager, you can delete the file immediately to prevent someone from accidentally tripping over it.
