How to Install & Use ES File Explorer on FireStick Tutorial and Steps
So here we discuss the How to Install & Use ES File Explorer on FireStick, and after a lot of requests from our users here is a guide about How to Install & Use ES File Explorer on FireStick.
In this guide, you will learn about various aspects of ES File Explorer important to a FireStick user. It is a freemium file manager app that is available on Amazon Store and can be downloaded on FireStick, FireTV Cube, Fire Stick 4K, and other Fire TV devices.
ES File Explorer is an incredibly popular file manager app for the Android platform. This multi-utility tool can be used for storage management, sideloading apps on FireStick (requires premium subscription), connecting to cloud drives and more.
I think ES File Explorer is a FireStick essential and a must-have if you want to manage your device better.
Update: Sideloading is now part of the premium version of the ES File Explorer app ($9.99 per month). It is no longer available for free.

What is ES File Explorer?
As I said, ES File Explorer is a file manager application, which also acts as an excellent side-loading utility for FireStick.
ES File Explorer is available through Amazon Store. I have the installation instructions later in this guide.
With this app you can sideload third-party MOT’s with web URLs. However, to sideload apps, you’ll need a premium plan that costs $9.99 per month.
You can also connect your FireStick to a computer via ES File Explorer to sideload MOT’s and even transfer files back and forth. Again, I have step-by-step instructions to sideload apps using this app

ES File Explorer offers numerous tools. However, there are many features most FireStick users will probably never use it. That’s why I prioritize and emphasize the benefits you’ll use sooner. If you want help with a specific utility not mentioned in this guide, let us know via the comments below.
These are the main benefits of ES File Explorer for FireStick users:

How to sideload apps with ES Explorer via direct links
ES File Explorer is one of the most effective sideloading tools for FireStick I’ve ever used. You just have to do is direct link to point out the MOT you want to download.
Note: Sideloading is no longer free with ES File Explorer. It is now only available with a premium subscription ($9.99 per month). If you don’t have a premium plan, use the Downloader app to sideload third-party apps on FireStick.
Important!!! ES File Explorer can only download MOT’s from the links that refer directly to the APK location on the web. If you have a link to a web page, you use the Downloader app to sideload apps.
I use Cinema HD app in this demonstration. Here are the steps:
Attention FireStick Gebruikers: Read before you go any further
Governments and ISPs around the world monitor the online activities of their users. If you stream copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick, you could be in serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I highly recommend you get a good FireStick VPN and hide your identity so your movie viewing experience doesn’t take a bad turn.
I use ExpressVPN that’s the fastest and most secure VPN in the industry. It is very easy to install on any device, including Amazon Fire TV Stick. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you don’t like their service, you always ask for a refund. ExpressVPN also has a special deal where you get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plan.
Here are the reasons why you should always use a VPN.
Open 1- ES Explorer
In the main window, click Downloader on the right OR Tools > Download Manager on the left
2- Click at the bottom +New
3. Enter the url you want in the Path box (I use https://www.firesticktricks.com/cinema)

back to menu ↑Connect to cloud drives (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.)
The ability to connect to your cloud drives is one of the most exciting features es file explorer. Cloud drive connectivity gives you access to images, videos, and even the MOT files stored in the cloud.
This is an excellent way to access your files without storing them on your limited FireStick storage
If you’ve synced the cloud drive to your computer, copy the MOT files to the drive and open them on FireStick through ES Explorer.
In other wordsU sideload apps on FireStick using your cloud drive
ES File Explorer supports all major cloud services, including Google Drive (Gdrive), OneDrive, DropBox, Box, SugarSync, S3, MediaFire, Yandex and Baidu NetDisk

back to menu ↑Clean up FireStick storage with ES Explorer
Storage management is another important aspect of the ES File Explorer app, especially since FireStick comes with limited storage.
You can easily delete all unwanted and unnecessary files. For example, you delete the MOT files after you install third-party apps. Once the app is installed, APK files become redundant
Remember that this must be done manually. Here are the steps:
Run 1- ES Explorer
2- Click Local > Home (2nd) in the left menu or click where it says Internal storage at the top
3- FireStick folders appear on the right. Open the folder in which the files you need to delete are stored (say, download the folder)
4- Select the file you want to delete (for example, an MOT file)
Note: DON’T CLICK the selected file
5- Now Keep the Select cleared button on your FireStick remote (the circularormige button) until the check mark appears in the lower-right corner of the file
6- Navigate to the bottom menu of ES Explorer and click Remove
7- Turn off moving to trash
Click Ok
