Check tutorial of Yellow Screen on iPhone 7? Here’s the Fix!
So after a lot of requests from our users here is a guide about Yellow Screen on iPhone 7? Here’s the Fix!.
Some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus screens look very yellow, or at least appear to display a much warmer color spectrum than what many people were used to on a previous iPhone screen. If your new iPhone has yellow screen or warmer screen, we will show you how to quickly correct iPhone screen color and remove yellow screen tint.
Before proceeding, realize that certain previous iPhone and iPad devices have had a yellow tint on the screen in some cases that seemingly resolves itself over a period of several days. Presumably, this is because an adhesive on the screen has not yet dried completely, which can cast a light yellow hue on the screen. If this is the problem, it should fix itself by doing nothing but wait a few days for the glue to dry. Consider this before adjusting the color tone of the iPhone screen as we’ll discuss next.
This walkthrough is shown with a brand new iPhone 7 Plus which will no doubt have a warmer screen than an iPhone 6S Plus it is compared to. But with a simple adjustment of the color tone, you can make it cooler or bluer as you wish.
How to Color Correct the yellow screen of iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus
On the device with the yellow-tinted or unusually warm screen, do the following:
- Open the “Settings” app and go to “General” then “Accessibility”
- Tap “Display Accommodations” then tap “Color Filters”
- Set the “Color Filters” setting to ON
- Select the “Color Tone” option from the filter list
- Now adjust the hue so that it is less yellow by sliding the hue bar, move it until your screen gets closer to the hue you want
- Slide the “Intensity” filter to a low setting for a more subtle color correction
By adjusting the intensity and hue of the color tone, you can quickly go to a screen that does not have a yellow tone or a warmer tone. You can also easily overdo it and get a really blue cooler screen or an ultra warm screen, but you can adjust it to your own visual preference.

You can see a few different samples of the yellow screen side by side for color correction, the normal color iPhone 6S Plus is on the left and the yellow hue iPhone 7 Plus is on the right. These photos were taken on an iPhone 6 Plus, so they won’t be the most amazing photos in the world, but they do show the remarkable difference in screen heat:

Here’s what the iPhone 7 display can look like after color correction or hue shifting via Color Tint, as you can see they are now basically identical when set up correctly:
You will see in this photo that the iPhone 7 Plus has probably been corrected to blue as the iPhone 6S Plus screen now looks yellow.
Adjust the color tone yourself, you will see how it works and how sensitive the color adjustments can be.
Keep in mind that if the aforementioned adhesive screen adhesive desiccant is legit (and not just a long-standing rumor that seems to be recirculating with every launch of the iPhone and iPad), your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus screen will likely be there will look strangely cooler in a few days, so you’ll probably want to return to the Color Tone and either the feature off, or adjust it again if necessary.
The ability to adjust the color tone on the iPhone (or iPad) screen is new feature to iOS 10 and it’s really, really nice, similar to how calibrating a screen on the Mac works in Expert mode with precise color adjustments. Since adjusting the screen tone to be a little cooler seems to take away this yellow screen tone, you wonder if the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus screen just has a color calibration to be warmer at first. Time will tell because as long as it’s a yellowish screen glue it will soon disappear on its own.
