Step to use Lightshot
Step 1. First of all, First install Lightshot in your system. This tool is available for each Windows and Mac OS.
Step 2. Once it’s installed on the system, you should use print screen key from keyboard to start Lightshot. If you press the print screen button, the screen gets fade and “choose area” message will appear near mouse pointer.
Step 3. If your Printscreen key doesn’t work for any reason, alternately you can click on the Little Feather icon found in the bottom right-hand corner taskbar menu to activate Lightshot.
Step 4. Click on a corner of the screen and pull the mouse pointer to a different corner (whereas holding down the left mouse button) to select the area that you want to take a screenshot of.
Step 5. Save the chosen area directly as an image/picture to your computer. To do that click on the Save icon (shown in the screenshot below) or Press the shortcut keys: Control and S together. One more way is to the right click on the chosen area and clicks on the Save option that will seem over it.
Step 6. If you would rather like to save the picture of the selected area as a link (because some of us like to paste the link of the image in chat or message box or on anyone’s Facebook timeline. Which is faster than uploading the picture again in facebook), then click on the Upload icon (shown in the screenshot below) or press the shortcut keys: Control and D together to start uploading the selected area.
Step 7. A pop-up will appear on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen showing that the picture is uploading. That may take a couple of seconds to finish uploading, depending on the size of the selected area. Click on the Cancel button wherever you do not want to continue uploading.
Step 8. A short link will be generated as quickly as the picture has finished uploading. Now, click the Copy button to copy the link and paste it elsewhere.
Step 9. That’s it! Now, you’re done.
