Instagram has launched a new ‘Create Mode’ that contains On This Day feature for sharing old posts. In practice, this means “Throwback Thursday” in an official movie. When you open the Stories tab, you’ll find a new “Create” option right next to the “Normal” option for essential photos and videos.
From there, tap the clock icon to show a story a year ago automatically. If you shared more stories two or more years ago, you could touch the hourglass at the top of the page to browse them. Meanwhile, drain the bottom right circle of switching between different color backgrounds for your ‘On This Day’ story. Tap on the clock icon again to add final changes such as extra text, stickers, annotations, and more.
When done, press the ‘Send To’ button to share the story. Beyond this day, Create mode also contains a set of standard Instagram features, including GIFs, questions, polls, and more. These features were already present in the Stories, but the Design view allows you to access them without posting an image.
