Last month at RIL 41st Annual General Meeting, Mukesh Ambani ad the successor of the JioPhone (first impressions) in the form of JioPhone 2. The brand’s latest LTE 4G feature phone features a new design with a full QWERTY keyboard. At the event, the company said the new phone would be available on all channels nationwide from August 15th. However, there has been a change in the supplier’s plans for the sale of the new JioPhone.
Today, Reliance Jio announced that the JioPhone 2 would be available via the flash sale on the company’s website starting August 16 at noon. The latest JioPhone will be available for Rs 2,999. For the moment, the launch offers of the JioPhone 2 are not known. It is therefore not clear that there will be an exchange offer for the latest Jio phone. In addition, the brand also announced that WhatsApp would not be available soon on the first generation JioPhone.
As a reminder, the JioPhone 2 offers a new design that facilitates messaging. Powered by KaiOS, the phone is supposed to be pre-loaded with WhatsApp, Facebook, and Youtube applications. Users can enjoy content from a multitude of applications like JioTV, JioCinema, JioMusic, and JioChat on the handset. Other features include a 2.4-inch display, 4GB of expandable storage, 2MP/VGA cameras, NFC and a 2000 mAh battery.
