LCD display and software issues are behind iPhone XR’s delay

According to the new report, the reason why the new iPhone, iPhone XR, the most economical Apple will not ship in a month is due to software problems and the LCD screen of the device.

According to Ryan Reith, vice president of mobile device research at IDC, Apple strives to ensure adequate LCD. In addition, he had to make software related changes to improve the visual elements of the "Liquid Retina" display.

"Apple could not get enough of these screens," Reith Hatsuko. "There is a problem facing the manufacturer of the contact." Production lasted for a while, but Reith said "Quality has not reached what you need".

Part of the problem lies in the difficulty of cutting the screen to the cutout shape that has not been done so far. Apple also added that the LCD screen had to be changed through software engineering to improve the image, the report adds. "On the LCD screen, the first [LCD display] With notch and full screen, "said Reith.

LCD screen problem

6.1 inch LCD iPhone's delay is not a big shock. Before this week's Apple media event, Bloomberg According to sources familiar with Apple's plans, this report points out that there was a "minor complication" on a new screen. Previously, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty reported that in July Apple makers had LED backlight leakage problems. They postponed production for one month.

It is not the first time Apple has to delay the launch of the new iPhone. Last year's problem was problems with iPhone X, as there is a problem with OLED supply. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were available 10 days after Apple's event, but iPhone X shipped in November.
