Since the first Surface, Phone rumor hit the web the recommended launch date has always been some time in 2016. We’re now getting ever nearer to the end of the year, which may be what’s behind the latest rumors that the Surface Phone will be unveiled at Microsoft’s 26 October event.

Initially, it was thought the Surface Phone might appear like a miniature version of the Surface tablet, including a squared metallic design. The leak recommends it could have a 5.5 AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 64GB or 128GB of storage with a microSD card slot and 4GB RAM.
It was reported to feature a 64-bit Intel processor and a 21Mp rear camera, whereas the front will be 8Mp. The effective camera tech sounds likely, as it would begin from the top-spec tech Nokia used in many of its camera phones.
It could also come with a USB-C port and could have a smaller version of the Surface Pen.
