As more people start working at home and traditional workplaces shift to remote work, companies are now setting a new standard and preparing to adjust their HR policies, including how they hire new talents. Jobsite Indeed released findings from its latest survey of changing employer sentiments in response to COVID-19, highlighting that 64 percent of Indian companies are ready or getting ready to change their policies regarding working from home or flexible work arrangements.

Three percent of SMEs say they are well prepared, while 39 percent of large companies are gearing up to make the big shift. Recruitment has had the greatest impact, with 36 percent of surveyed companies confirming that they have temporarily suspended their recruiting activities. 50 percent of Indian companies have already reduced embedded resources, such as indentured workers / freelancers. Meanwhile, 43 percent of SMEs are likely to rent remotely.

The survey was conducted among 150 employers of SMEs, large organizations and gig economy companies in 10 cities in India. (ANI)
