Weeks after the introduction of restrictions on message forwarding, the instant messaging service WhatsApp said Monday that the distribution of highly forwarded messages on the platform has decreased by 70 percent worldwide.
According to TechCrunch, the Facebook-owned service had introduced a restriction earlier this month that allowed users to forward a message to only one user or group at a time.
The previous limit for forwarding messages on WhatsApp was from five users or groups. The limitation was rolled out to 2 billion users worldwide on April 7. (ANI)
