According to a new report, the Galaxy S22 series will actually employ the Exynos 2200 in Europe

According to Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy S22 series is expected to continue with the Exynos 2200 in European markets, with the leaker name-dropping the UK specifically. Aforementioned previous reports purported that the Galaxy S22 Ultra specifically would be the one to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 across all regions, but this bluntly indicates otherwise.

The thought of the Galaxy S22 Ultra being released with the Snapdragon Gen 1 across all markets has piqued the interest of Samsung fans in Europe. However, new research suggests that the Galaxy S22 series would arrive with the Exynos 2200 in Europe, putting an end to those speculations. Yesterday, allegations appeared saying that, instead of the Exynos 2200, Samsung planned to equip the Galaxy S22 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in all regions. While those rumours should always be treated with a grain of salt, there is now information on the grapevine that they may have been untrue.

It’s always difficult when two leaks contradict each other but Ishan Agarwal has earned a pretty solid reputation in the business, so it seems more probable that his information is correct. From all indications, it appears that Europe will get the Exynos 2200 as is traditionally expected. The chipset may have been delayed but is likely to make its debut alongside the phones. None of these are officially confirmed at the moment, though, so we’ll keep you updated.
