Five members of the 6ix9ine security team included robbery, camouflage, and other charges resulting from a pursuit in Harlem last August, including a former New York Police Department detective accused of lying and attempting to cover up the case. I was charged with charges.

Prosecutors said Monday after a troubled rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s bodyguard turned New York City into a Wild West, piled it up in an SUV, and tried to record a video of a recording star’s cell phone, a man with a flashing light. He said he had tracked 20 blocks.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was not charged.

“Celebrity aides are not police stations and Manhattan is not Wild West,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. said in a statement issuing the indictment.

“As claimed, these highly compensated vigilants chased a man and caravaned the city of Harlem with a flashing siren to steal and destroy his phone,” Vance said. Told.

Former New York Police Department detective Daniel Laperta falsely claimed to police officers and 911 dispatchers that the man being tracked threatened the 6ix9ine team with a gun, according to Vance.

When the 6ix9ine bodyguard finally confronted the man and boxed him with an SUV near the Apollo Theater, they knocked out and trampled his cell phone, Vance said.

When a man wrestled with one of his bodyguards trying to get his cell phone back, Laperta approached his holster gun and another bodyguard pointed his stun gun at him, Vance said.

The security team fled to the SUV as an unmarked police car drove with blinking lights, Vance said. Laperta was acquitted on Monday and was expected to pay bail on Monday afternoon. Other members of the security team were to be prosecuted later on Monday.

Laperuta’s lawyer, Todd Cushner, said he was considering accusations against a former detective. “In most cases, they are unfounded,” Kushner said.
