At Wired UK, John Arlidge asks, “Has Apple finally bitten more than it can chew?” This does not seem to have been answered. It’s the quintessential summary of everything Apple does today, through hardware, software and services, and wonders if the company is doing well under Tim Cook as opposed to Steve Jobs. However, I found this quote interesting and claimed to be from an Apple veteran.
What Cook is trying to do is offer a new set of iTunes-like services to combine with more diverse hardware to create a simple and engaging ecosystem. Imagine secure communications, iCloud storage, TV, quality news, banking, healthcare, insurance and more, all from the same trusted provider on iPhone, iPad, Mac, the watch and, in the future, AR glasses. It would be quite revolutionary.
Indeed.
