Apple Releases ‘Works With Apple Health’ Badge for Developers

Apple has Updating the Human Interface guidelines for HealthKit, so developers can use the company’s Health icon in their applications as a Works With Apple Health badge.

Works with Apple Health

With a new badge called Works With Apple Health, customers can easily see if an application is compatible with Health. An example of design that Apple has provided is a screen in an application that allows users to explicitly press a button to synchronize their health data with the Health application.

As with other guidelines, Apple has provided a list of do’s and don’ts for using the Apple Health badge. Here are some examples:

  • To make: The Works with Apple Health badge can be used for ads and promotions related to the approved application.
  • To make: Add privacy messages if applicable. See “Editorial Guidelines”.
  • Do not do it: Do not animate, rotate or tilt the badge.
  • Do not do it: Never change the image of the badge.
