Best holiday deals on TVs, soundbars, media streamers, and more

LG, Samsung, Sony, Vizio, and other major TV vendors are selling steep discounts on a wide range of 4K (and even 8K!) packages, as well as Dolby Atmos soundbars, digital video players, Bluetooth headphones, and portable speakers.

There are plenty of last-minute holiday shopping discounts to be had if you want to update your home theatre with a 4K TV or a Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbar. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and other retailers are offering significant discounts on TVs, soundbars, streaming machines, and headphones.

Just bear in mind that the best deals don’t last long, and TVs, in particular, seem to sell out easily. So, if you see an exciting home entertainment bargain, you can act quickly.

Many of Samsung’s new 4K TV models (particularly the 75-inch Q90T) are receiving significant holiday discounts, although Sony is providing significant price reductions for its latest OLED TVs.

First and foremost, we have a lot of significant price reductions on Definitive Technology soundbars, one of our favourite home audio manufacturers (check out our review of the Definitive Technology Studio Slim). Samsung is discounting some of the newest soundbars, such as a 7.1.2 model with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support for 23% off, while Klipsch is providing a 40% discount on its 400 series soundbar. We also found Sony’s famous 3.1-channel Z9F soundbar for 22% off, and Vizio’s 3.1.2 soundbar with Atmos for $200 off.

Amazon and Roku are also selling some of their most popular streaming services, including Amazon’s Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube (a gadget capable of controlling your TV and DVR with an IR blaster), as well as the Roku Premiere and the latest, Dolby Vision-enabled Ultra. In addition, Sony’s 4K Blu-ray player with streaming capability is 34% off (returning to its Black Friday price), while Panasonic’s UHD Blu-ray player with Dolby Atmos support is a whopping 44% off.

We found some great Beats headphones discounts, including a 50% discount on the ever-popular Studio3 over-ear headphones and a 40% discount on the Powerbeats Pro fitness earphones. Sony’s top-rated WH-1000XM4 headphones are still on sale (though we’re not sure how long the discount will last), as are Bose’s QuietComfort 35 II headphones (a recent Editors’ Choice winner), and some Bluetooth headphones from Cleer Audio (one of our favourite Bluetooth headphone manufacturers). Finally, JBL has a few Black Friday holdovers, including the Tune 120TWS wireless earbuds, which are almost half-off.
