Support ATU Student-Owned Businesses at the Student Owned Business Market 2023
Arkansas Tech University Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate and Main Street Russellville are teaming up to host a Student Owned Business Market on Friday, December 1 from 6-9 pm at the Russellville Train Depot in downtown Russellville. The market will coincide with Main Street Russellville’s Holiday Glow Art Walk event, creating a festive and vibrant atmosphere for attendees.
This event is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and gain real-world experience in marketing and sales. Attendees will have the chance to discover unique goods and services offered by student-owned businesses such as Dreami Tea Club, Stargirl Jewelry Company, Crayco, Loose Threads, Singulivity, Cozy Threads Company, Elizabeth Knox Art, Jewelry by Rae, Simply Autumn, Abby Makes Stuff , Sunny Made Studio and EJ Sweet Shop.
Olivia Johnson, president of ATU FBLA Collegiate emphasized the importance of this event for the participating students. “For many of these students, this event will be the first time they will advertise and sell their products and services in a marketplace,” said Johnson. “The market allows them to gain experience in personal selling, display design and customer service.”
Withal to supporting these budding entrepreneurs, attendees can also enjoy hot chocolate sold by ATU FBLA Collegiate during the event. All proceeds from the hot chocolate sale will be donated to River Valley Food 4 Kids – a great way to give back to the community while enjoying some delicious treats.
The best part? Admission to the market is free and open to the public! This means that everyone has the opportunity to show their support for these talented student-owned businesses while enjoying an evening filled with holiday festivities.
So mark your calendars for December 1st and head over to downtown Russellville for an unforgettable experience at the Student Owned Business Market 2023. Your presence could make all the difference for these aspiring young entrepreneurs!
