Health officials say those still experiencing illness should call their doctor. Gerry’s Donuts has been closed as the North Central District Health Department investigates the cause of the illnesses. Anyone who may still have any of the food from the store is not to eat or serve it and should throw it out.
Gerry’s Donuts released a statement on its Facebook page Friday apologizing to customers. Health officials say they have received several reports of gastrointestinal illnesses from people who consumed the food from the store. Officials added the symptoms reported include vomiting and diarrhea.
