Apart from Nintendo and Xbox, some other publishers in attendance at this year’s all-digital E3 will include Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media. E3 2021 will run from 12th June until 15th June. Find out more in our previous post. Oh, and if you’re wondering about Sony – as pointed out by our friends over at Push Square, it’s (unsurprisingly) nowhere to be seen, after it stepped away from the event in 2019 to host its own broadcast. Will you be watching this year’s show? What are you hoping for from Nintendo? Leave your thoughts below.
Industry counterpart and head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, also took this opportunity to acknowledge how the “industry is strongest” when it works together and said he was looking forward to revealing more about Xbox’s plans moving forward (thanks, Pure Xbox). It’s going to be great to get the video game industry back together with our fans this June. We’ll make the virtual format fun and engaging. Looking forward to seeing you all in June! https://t.co/ZQidcWqAF4— Doug Bowser (@thetruebowser) April 7, 2021
Glad to see the game industry coming together again in June for a digital E3. This and other summer events are proof that our industry is strongest when we work together. Looking forward to sharing what we have in store this summer.— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) April 6, 2021 Following this announcement, Nintendo of America’s president Doug Bowser shared his own message on Twitter about the event’s return – mentioning how great it was that the video games industry was getting back together. He also hopes everyone can make the format as “fun and engaging” as possible.
