While the A9 makes a strong case for inclusion on our list of the best noise-cancelling earbuds, it does has drawbacks common to most low-cost wireless earbuds. To get the touch controls to work properly, some experimenting is needed. Furthermore, the uninspired architecture and lack of additional features make it less attractive as compared to other sub-$100 versions.
The Amazon darling’s latest update is the Enacfire A9. This pair of wireless earbuds has bass-forward sound, an ambient-listening mode, and a charging case that can provide up to 32 hours of battery life. Most notably, it provides aggressive noise cancellation (ANC) at an extremely low cost.
Nonetheless, if you want cheap earbuds that do the job and have some noise cancellation, our Enacfire A9 review explains why this low-cost pair is worth a look.
The Enacfire A9 is available for $69 from Enacfire, but Amazon has it for $49. It is only used in black. A charging case, a short USB-C charging cable, an instruction manual, a two-year warranty, and three sets of ear tips are included with the order.
Enacfire isn’t well-known for its design chops. The company’s wireless earbuds are as simple as they come, emphasising performance over design. Having said that, don’t expect the A9’s dull, copycat presence to win you over.
The buds have the same long-stem silhouette as the regular AirPods, but they have an all-black exterior and a heavier shell, making them stand out more. The AirPods Pro, in my opinion, have a more distinct look than the A9, due to basic features like black vents and shorter stems. One advantage is that the A9 has an IPX7 waterproof rating, which is higher than that of the AirPods Pro (IPX4).
