Your next Star Wars: Legion game will be even more immersive thanks to Atomic Mass Games, since you’ll soon be able to add a huge crashed X-Wing to your collection of terrain. Five new miniatures are included in the Star Wars: Legion Crashed X-Wing Battlefield Expansion.
Four of them show the strewn wreckage of a crashed X-Wing fighter, and the fifth one depicts the rebel pilot. The X-Wing is in scale with the Pilot, as you can see in the image below, and it will undoubtedly offer some theatrical elements to your next game, however it may also have an impact on gameplay.
This is so that players can compete in a unique scenario included in the expansion to salvage the X-Wing wreckage and either free or capture the pilot. You can pre-order the Crashed X-Wing Battlefield Expansion from Asmodee’s store right here for $99.99. The official summary is provided below.
By allowing you to add a large crashed X-wing to your collection of landscape, Atomic Mass Games is enhancing the immersion in the upcoming Star Wars: Legion game. Five additional miniatures are included in the Star Wars: Legion Crashed X-Wing Battlefield Expansion.
While the fifth miniature symbolizes the Rebel pilot of the spacecraft, the other four show the dispersed wreckage of his downed X-wing straighter. The X-wing is the same size as the pilot, as you can see in the image below. While this may have an impact on gameplay as well, it will undoubtedly give your future game a more theatrical feel.
This is the latest in a series of impressive terrain expansions for the game, and may be my favorite expansion since the Downed AT-ST expansion. You can also use other terrain expansions such as Priority Supply (Supply Crates, Communication Stations) and Crashed Escape Pods, including miniatures of C-3PO and his R2-D2.
