The last time Essentia had visitor restrictions in place was in early July. “At this time, these restrictions only apply to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center and Essentia Health-Duluth, the two hospitals on our downtown Duluth campus,” the release said. “Other facilities may have their own restrictions in place.”
St. Louis County logged 94 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, putting the seven-day average of new cases at about 62 new cases a day. Patients with COVID-19 or who are suspected to have COVID-19 are not allowed any visitors unless they are a pediatric, obstetric patient or near the end of life. All visitors are asked to wear masks and remain in the patient’s room.
