Facebook said on Sunday that it would temporarily decrease streaming speeds for videos on its platform and also on Instagram in Europe to reduce potential network congestion due to thousands of Europeans working from home due to the corona virus outbreak.

“We are committed to working with our partners to manage any bandwidth limitations during this period of high demand, while also ensuring that people can stay connected to Facebook apps and services,” said a Facebook spokesperson in a statement.
