News Highlights: Fairfield County residents do not answer
LANCASTER – Pick up the phone, please.
That’s what Fairfield County officials are asking of those called to get their COVID-19 vaccine.
Emergency Management Agency Director Jon Kochis said many people who signed up for the recording do not respond when called.
For example, the county called 2,033 people last week, but was only able to schedule 444 immediately. Health officials called 79 people back to schedule them for a later date, and 275 people received the vaccine elsewhere.
