Nintendo is using copyright warnings to remove YouTube videos describing how to hack the recently released Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. color handheld.
A hacker who stepped on the handle managed to hack the portable unit a day before its official November 13 release, thanks to an early retail delivery. But a YouTube video describing that hacking method, originally posted Nov. 14, was removed earlier this week due to a targeted copyright claim from Nintendo. Another great video entitled “Bringing homebrew to the Nintendo Game & Watch” has also been removed due to an apparent copyright claim.
Two other Game & Watch hacking stack smashing videos will remain available from the time of going to press: one describing how to load a Doom port on the device and one discussing how to dump the firmware. Neither…
