News Highlights: Windows 10X, Windows 10 Sun Valley start menus can no longer be different
Two versions of Windows can be installed on PCs by the end of the year. One of these is the much-delayed Windows 10X that will show up first by single-screen computers before exploring dual-screen constructions if it ever takes that long. However, Microsoft isn’t exactly going to drop the traditional Windows 10 and can give it a substantial visual refresh. Needless to say, neither of them may literally resemble the Windows 10 you’ve known from the beginning.
Microsoft already showed the basic idea of the Windows 10X Start Menu when it demoed the momentarily delayed Surface Neo. It’s certainly not your conventional start menu and not just because it floats in the center of the screen. Unlike what you have on Windows 10 right now, it’s all about shortcuts to apps, both native and Progressive Web Apps (PWA), and to websites.
