Huawei today launched the next-in-line flagship P series, the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro +. All models are equipped with advanced cameras and a new design language. The P40 Pro has a quad-curve 6.58-inch flex OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It is equipped with a dual 32-megapixel selfie camera and a quad-camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a depth sensor.
It is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 990 5G SoC, 8 GB RAM and up to 512 GB internal memory. A 4,200 mAh battery powered the new P40 Pro with support for wireless charging. The P40 Pro +, on the other hand, has a penta camera setup on the back and has a 5,500 mAh battery, 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The P40 comes with a triple rear camera setup, a 6.1-inch screen and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Considering that the U.S. trade ban still doesn’t allow Huawei to add Google services, the new P40 series ships without the most-used services from the U.S. technology giant, including Gmail, Maps. and YouTube. The company announced during the live stream that the new P40 line-up will be available in selected markets from April 7. The P40 starts at 799 euros, the P40 Pro starts at 999 euros and the high-end P40 Pro + starts at 1399 euros. (ANI)
