A report today suggests that the iPhone 12 may have a flat design similar to the iPhone 5 and iPad Pro 2020, as well as stainless steel bezels (through Bloomberg).
Citing unknown sources, the report says high-end models of the iPhone 12 will have a flat screen, flat stainless steel bezels and a smaller notch. It would be a major overhaul for the iPhone that we haven’t seen since the introduction of the iPhone X.
Mark Gurman calls these models the iPhone Pro, and they keep the current three-camera system on the back and adopt the LiDAR sensor introduced with the iPad Pro 2020. They may also have a slightly larger screen than the iPhone Pro Max , which measures 6.5 inches.
Apple then develops a cheaper version of the HomePod that would be half the size of the current model, even if it had the same design. Apple could position it as a competitor to Amazon’s Echo Dot.
Finally, the Apple Tags rumors used to track physical objects can come with a leather bag and a keychain so they can be attached to things.
