Judge Rules Out cameras in Courtroom Hearing of Kim Potter

Potter faces a charge of manslaughter in the April 11th shooting death of Daunte Wright last month.

A Hennepin County judge has ruled no cameras in the courtroom during a hearing next Monday for former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter. Several media organizations had made the request.

Court rules allow cameras only when both parties agree – and the defense objected before Tuesday’s hearing. The hearing next week will be conducted by Zoom.
