Kelowna teacher hoping to meet with his Laptop

Saeed Moghaddam, Ph.D., told Capital News that he arrived at the Kelowna Airport Village on Oct. 23 at about 1:50 p.m. to pick up two passengers.

A UBCO professor had his bag taken from him after he forgot it in a parking lot, and they want it back.

While helping the passengers into the vehicle, his backpack containing valuables, including a laptop and a passport, was placed on the ground next to the car and forgotten.

Moghaddam said they returned after remembering the bag, but it was too late. Video footage Moghaddam obtained from the Airport Village manager shows a woman picking up the bag and putting it in a red Ford truck driven by a man.

Moghaddam said the RCMP told him that the truck was registered in the name of someone currently in jail and that there was nothing more the police could do.

Moghaddam hopes someone can identify the woman and reunite him with the bag and belongings.

“My whole life depends on that backpack,” Moghaddam said.

People with information on the possible whereabouts of the bag are asked to contact Moghaddam at 1(778)929-6773 or the Kelowna RCMP.
