LG is opening up its webOS TV smart platform to other manufacturers, adopting a strategy that will see it move from proprietary interface to licensed standard. First introduced in 2014, LG’s webOS ecosystem brings together an array of features, including voice search and control, powerful AI algorithms and intuitive connectivity. It’s also home to rich content options, including access to Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, sports streaming service DAZN and LG’s own IP-delivered linear channels.
