Apple’s vice president of retail and employees reportedly told employees that “many more” Apple Stores would reopen in May. Deirdre O’Brien made comments to employees in a weekly video update (via Bloomberg News).
More Apple stores will reopen in May
The company “continues to analyze the health situation in all locations and I think we will be opening many more stores in May,” O’Brien told staff. So far, the Apple Store in Seoul, South Korea, is the only one outside of China that has reopened after closure due to the coronavirus epidemic. O’Brien previously told employees that she expects some of the company’s outlets in the United States to reopen in May. These final comments indicate that the company is still comfortable with this schedule.
