Obviously Deathloop isn’t quite as difficult as those other games we just mentioned, but Cerny clearly enjoyed Arkane’s super-powered shooter a heck of a lot. On Twitter, he wrote: “So original… and so STYLISH, really deserved its Best Game Direction award at the TGAs. Thank you Arkane!”

Indeed, Deathloop won a couple of awards at The Game Awards 2021 — namely Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction. When it first released back in September, many critics went gaga for the PS5 exclusive, but it didn’t actually win that many Game of the Year awards.
