Microsoft has revealed a host of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, including Microsoft Flight Simulator, Cris Tales, and The Ascent. Xbox Game Pass is widely regarded as one of the most varied and valuable subscription services in gaming, offering a vast catalog of games both new and old for subscribers.
On Tuesday, Xbox has now revealed a slew of new additions to Xbox Game Pass for the remainder of July. Available starting today, July 20, is Battlefield V (cloud) and JRPG Cris Tales (console, cloud, and PC). On July 22, players will also be able to dive into roguelite farming simulator Atomicrops (cloud, console, and PC), action-adventure game Raji: An Ancient Epic (console, cloud, and PC), and third-person supernatural adventure Last Stop (console, cloud, and PC).
July 26 will welcome classic Xbox time-warping action with Blinx: The Time Sweeper (console and cloud) and aerial combat in Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge (console and cloud). July 27 will be a date to save, as Microsoft Flight Simulator will finally come to console, putting the power of Xbox Series X/S to the test. Finally, Lethal League Blaze (console, cloud, and PC), Omno (console, cloud, and PC)), Project Wingman (PC), and former Series X/S launch title The Ascent (console, cloud, and PC) will join Xbox Game Pass on July 29.
Of the new offerings, Microsoft Flight Simulator and The Ascent are likely to be big hits for July. Both games are available through Game Pass on day one, with the former making its long-awaited console debut. The highly detailed flight sim has previously received high praise from PC gamers due to its realism, giving players a chance to take to the skies despite current global restrictions. Meanwhile, solo and co-op action-shooter The Ascent is one for fans of the cyberpunk genre. The Microsoft subscription service has already added lots of games this July, with games like Tropico 6 arriving on Xbox Game Pass, alongside popular hits like Farming Simulator 19 and Bloodroots.
A recent update to Xbox Game Pass has rolled Cloud Gaming out to more platformers, introducing browser support to allow iOS device players to play on their iPhones and iPads. The service is included as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and is now available for Windows PC, iOS, and Android. Cloud Gaming allows players to wirelessly connect a controller to their mobile device to play certain Xbox Game Pass titles on the go. Unfortunately, not all Game Pass titles are compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming, but the current list does include over 100 games. Functionality was beta tested for Android users earlier this summer before Xbox Cloud Gaming’s full release.
