Microsoft decided to terminate the "Skype 7.0 – Classic" version in November and will focus on improving "Skype 8" with better features based on user feedback.
Support for Skype 7 and its descendants will end on a desktop device on November 1, of 2020 and will end on a mobile device and tablet on November 15, of 2020.
However, the company gives users time to upgrade to older Skype updates, allowing users to use older versions.
"Recently, I started recording the phone and introducing the search function to the conversation. When I added a phone number to an existing contact, added availability, etc.," A release was added.
In early September, Microsoft redesigned the Skype interface for mobile and desktop applications, simplifying voice calling, video chatting, and messaging functions.
Video and voice applications also deploy end-to-end encryption for private conversations on the platform.
It is not clear how long the "Skype Classic" is working even after the company stops supporting it.
