Mr. Harrigan's Phone Recruit two more young actors

The Netflix film–written and directed by John Lee Hancock–follows a young boy named Craig, who befriends an older, reclusive billionaire, Mr. Harrigan. The two “form a bond over books and an iPhone,” according to the official synopsis, “but, when the man passes away, the boy discovers that not everything dead is gone.”

The latest Stephen King horror adaptation on Netflix continues to attract talent. According to a source on JoBlo.com, King’s Mr. Harrigan’s Phone–published in the bestselling author’s 2020 volume If It Bleeds–signed two young actors this week to round out the ensemble cast. Photos of the newcomers may be found on this page’s Twitter post. Colin O’Brien and Cyrus Arnold join Donald Sutherland, Jaeden Martell, Joe Tippett, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, who were previously revealed.

And that discovery hits him in a truly frightening way. Craig finds himself able to “communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone that was buried with him.”In the film, Martell portrays Craig, Sutherland plays Mr. Harrigan, Tippett is Craig’s father (raising him alone after the death of his wife) and Howell-Baptiste plays Craig’s teacher, Ms. Hart. O’Brien assumes the role of a younger Craig, and Arnold plays Craig’s antagonist, Kenny Yankovich.

The Blumhouse Productions film–slated for a debut sometime next year on Netflix–is produced by Jason Blum, Ryan Murphy and Carla Hacken.
