NATO-Russia Battle 'Unthinkable', Says Latvian Prime Minister

“Russia is not afraid of NATO forces, Russia is afraid of Ukraine’s democracy,” Karins told the broadcaster on Wednesday.

Battle among NATO and Russia is “unthinkable” because it would prompt a more extensive worldwide clash, Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins said in an interview with TV3. Top U.S. also Russian diplomats consented to continue chatting on Tuesday after completing a first round of security conversations with the expect to determine contrasts over Russia’s troop development close to Ukraine and Moscow’s concerns about potential NATO expansion further east.
