During this week’s Japanese version of Nintendo Direct, a pleasant surprise was announced: a summer game featuring everyone’s favorite five-year-old anime from the anime Crayon Shin-chan.
The game is called Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi (Crayon Shin-chan: My Summer Vacation With The Professor) and lets players enjoy summer in a small town in Kyushu, Japan.
This may seem familiar. In Japan, a series of games is mentioned Boku no Natsuyasumi (My Summer Vacation) that Sony has published for PlayStation hardware. The first was released in 2000 and followed the adventures of a young boy vacationing with a family member in the countryside while catching insects and going fishing. Sequels and ports followed, and the appeal of these games is that they do a great job of conquering rural Japan during the summer.
